TikTok LIVE Shopping in Numbers: Fashion Outdrew Every Game in July 2026
TikTok LIVE is not a gaming platform. In July 2026 a single category pulled more watch time than every game on it put together.
Fashion took 592,081,911 watch hours last month. All 87 game categories tracked on TikTok LIVE, added up, took 547,471,391. Fashion has now come out ahead two months in a row, and the gap is the widest it has been since January.
Here is the full July split, where the peaks landed, and what changes if you sell live.
Fashion outdrew every game combined, again

Fashion has outdrawn every game on TikTok LIVE combined for two months running: 592.1M watch hours against 547.5M in July 2026.
Games were ahead in March, April and May. Fashion took the lead back in June and widened it in July. Over the same stretch the gaming share of the platform fell four months straight: 19.17% in March, then 18.71%, 17.64%, 16.49%, and 16.10% in July.
None of that means gaming is dying here. Roblox grew 8.0% month over month and PUBG Mobile grew 5.0%. It means gaming is a small, slow-moving slice of a platform that mostly does something else.
The whole platform in five buckets
Chats is the giant, and it is not close. It alone accounted for more than half of everything watched on TikTok LIVE last month. Fashion sits second. Every game on the platform, together, sits third.
| Category | Hours watched | Share | vs June | Avg viewers | Peak (day) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chats | 1,817,149,012 | 53.43% | +8.9% | 2,442,405 | 4,140,287 (Jul 7) |
| Fashion | 592,081,911 | 17.41% | +10.4% | 795,809 | 1,915,624 (Jul 7) |
| All 87 game categories | 547,471,391 | 16.10% | +5.4% | not comparable | not comparable |
| Outdoors | 283,310,141 | 8.33% | +3.1% | 380,794 | 664,414 (Jul 25) |
| Talents | 160,992,350 | 4.73% | +6.9% | 216,388 | 571,352 (Jul 19) |
Chats and Fashion took 70.84% of all TikTok LIVE watch time in July 2026. Games took 16.10%.
Those five buckets are the entire platform. Their shares add up to 100.00%, so there is no hidden remainder doing the work. Average viewers and peak are marked not comparable for the games row on purpose: those two metrics need concurrent viewers summed across every game at every scan, which is a different calculation from adding up monthly totals.
Fashion is also the fastest growing
Among the four non-gaming categories, Fashion added the most month over month at 10.4%. Chats added 8.9%, Talents 6.9%, Outdoors 3.1%. Fashion grew from 536,201,919 hours in June, and its average concurrent audience went from 744,725 to 795,809.
The games look different.
| Game | Hours watched | Share | vs June |
|---|---|---|---|
| Roblox | 107,259,265 | 3.15% | +8.0% |
| Garena Free Fire | 79,033,212 | 2.32% | -0.3% |
| Mobile Legends: Bang Bang | 61,861,563 | 1.82% | -4.7% |
| PUBG Mobile | 52,924,702 | 1.56% | +5.0% |
Roblox is the biggest game on TikTok LIVE. Fashion is 5.5 times its size. Mobile Legends, the biggest esports title on the platform, lost 4.7% over the month, and Fashion is 9.6 times bigger than it. You can browse the underlying pages for Fashion, Chats and Outdoors, or put any two categories side by side in the comparison tool.
Both giants peaked on the same day
Fashion peaked at 1,915,624 concurrent viewers on July 7. Chats peaked at 4,140,287 the same day. Outdoors peaked on July 25 and Talents on July 19, so the two smaller non-gaming categories run on their own rhythm.
When TikTok LIVE has a big day, it is a talk-and-shopping day.
What this means if you sell on TikTok LIVE
Your competition for attention is not other sellers. It is Chats, a category three times your size. Three practical reads from the July numbers:
- Plan drops around platform peaks, not around your own calendar. Fashion and Chats peaked on the same day in July. The days when the whole platform is awake are the days your stream has the most people to borrow from.
- Judge yourself on average viewers, not monthly hours. Fashion holds 795,809 people at any given moment. That number, not the 592 million, is the live audience you are actually competing for.
- Do not budget as if TikTok LIVE were a gaming platform. Games take 16.10% of watch time and their share has shrunk four months running. Gaming-adjacent placements are a niche buy here, not the default one.
Next update: early September, once August closes.
